INTEREST GROUP UPDATES
The OQ Committee developed a whitepaper in 2016 on OQ Portability available to SGA member company representatives.

The Gas Control Committee worked on the development of two Best Practices around Control Room Management in 2016: Alarm Management and Abnormal Operating Conditions. These were shared and discussed at the 2016 Operating Conference Gas Control Roundtable with roundtable feedback being incorporated in to the documents. These documents are available to SGA member company representatives.

The Underground Storage Committee is working in conjunction with SGA staff and a third party consultant to offer an in-depth storage school in 2017.

Thanks to Pacific Gas & Electric for hosting the Fall meeting of the Advanced Leak Detection Users Group (ALDUG) in Napa, CA.  Ten operators, using or piloting Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy for leak detection, gathered to roundtable on the challenges and opportunities associated with its use.  Many took advantage of the trip to visit Picarro and Los Gatos Research the two Silicon Valley companies working to deploy the technology.

Efforts are underway to find measurement analysts interested in getting together at our 2017 Operating Conference in Atlanta to discuss “back office” measurement related smart practices, challenges, lessons learned, etc. This is open to distribution, pipeline and midstream operators. Feel free to send this request on to others you may know that might be interested.

The Pipeline Construction and O&M Committee and the Transmission Integrity Management Committee are the core sponsors for the 2017 O&E Webinar series that will start at the end of January.

Sessions and presentation ranging from basic to advanced will allow the analysts and engineers to take home information that is useful now.
