The Operating Conference format is focused round table discussion. Attendees learn smart practices and lessons learned from their peers with 22 concurrent facilitated sessions to choose from. Breakout sessions with presentations from subject matter experts open the conference following the keynote address. Make plans to visit the exhibit hall, which will include over 100 services and product service organizations showcasing the latest products and services available to the industry.

2017 Registration Rates


Registration Type

Early (Before June 16th)

Regular (June 17th to Event Date)1

Full Access:Full access to all conference and expo events including meals, receptions, sessions, and Tuesday Evening Special Event.




Guest Pass:Guest pass is required for any guest (i.e. spouse) of attendee that will be attending receptions, visiting the expo hall, and the Tuesday evening Special Event. All other meal functions are not open to guests. This pass is for non-industry attendees that are guests of registered attendees. 




Day Pass: This pass is available only for Tuesday and gives attendee the opportunity to visit the expo hall, all sessions during the day, and the reception. Includes all meals for the day at the meeting location and includes access to the Tuesday evening Special Event.




Limited Exhibit Hall Pass: This pass is available only for Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 to 4:00 PM to the expo hall for the event. Includes refreshments available in the exhibit hall during this time, but does not include meal functions, receptions, nor the Tuesday evening Special Event.




PSMS Roundtable:This pass is available only for Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 PM to the “deep dive” roundtable session. Includes a light lunch prior to the session. Registrants for this pass must be an employee of an operating company. Pass is not for service and product providers. Visit the roundtable web page for more details.

Monday Afternoon Breakouts

Breakout Sessions will cover topical areas that are typically cross-functional in any given organization.  These are short 2-3 hour sessions that will be available on the Monday afternoon of the conference.

Topical Areas:


Attendees will be selecting a primary roundtable during registration. However you are welcome to move around the Conference and participate in any of the concurrent sessions. 

  1. Some sessions during roundtable time may be closed to gas company attendees only.  Those interested in attending specific sessions should check the mobile platform or posted session information for more details.

This daily news magazine will be published for all 3 days of the event replacing the traditional conference guidebook. Take a minute and look through the 2016, day1, Operating Conference SGA Today You’ll see it is designed to give you maximum exposure and the benefits of advertising in the SGAToday is as follows: 


    • Exposure to all conference attendees as they will access information about the conference, show information, and other changes or updates to schedules.
    • Opportunity to draw attention to your show booth if you are exhibiting at this year's conference.

Meet Cargo at Operating Conference

SGA is raising funds for Freedom Service Dogs of America!

Based just outside of Denver, FSD is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by rescuing dogs and custom training them for individual client needs. Their service dogs end up serving children, veterans and active duty military and other adults.

Throughout 2017, SGA will be working with members to raise enough money to rescue, treat, train and ultimately graduate a service dog with FSD.

This is an exciting opportunity, but we need your help! It costs around $30,000 to get a dog ready to serve. By helping SGA meet our goal, you will forever change the life of someone in need.

We continue our tradition of offering a "just in time" and relevant opportunity for industry professionals to come together on an important topic and share their experiences as well as their challenges in the industry. This year, we focus on Pipeline Safety Management Systems separate registration is required for this roundtable through the Operating Conference registration process.
