The Ratemaking Process
This course will introduce the student to the Ratemaking process as it pertains to the Natural Gas Industry. It is important that individuals working in the natural gas industry gain an understanding of this process since almost everyone in the industry has some impact on rates. The course will cover topics such as strategic ratemaking, determining revenue requirements, allocating costs, and designing rates, revenue decoupling mechanisms and trends. The student will also walk through an exercise called "The Van Go Transportation Service" that will demonstrate the process.
This course is part of the Leadership for the Natural Gas Industry certification program offered by SGA.
Length
The Online Self Study version is 6 modules, each approximately 30 minutes in length. The In-House and SGA Conference workshops are 1 ½ days.
* A corporate license is for one year with a $500 renewal fee each year thereafter. This price includes enrolling students in the SGA LMS or SCORM files that can be loaded into your LMS.
