Introduction to the Natural Gas Industry
This course is designed to cover the basics of the industry. It is designed for anyone needing an understanding of the industry to communicate with customers, clients, and other departments within their own organization. It will introduce the student to the key players in the natural gas industry, cover how natural gas is found and produced by exploration and production companies, explain how gas is shipped and sold to Local Distribution Companies, introduce the student to how a Local distribution Company delivers, markets, and sells natural gas to customers, explain the Ratemaking Process, and touch on Safety and Environmental issues.
This course is part of the Leadership for the Natural Gas Industry certification program offered by SGA.
Length
The Online Self Study and CD versions are 8 modules, each approximately 30 minutes in length. The In-House and SGA Conference workshops are 1 ½ to 2 days.
* A corporate license is for one year with a $500 renewal fee each year thereafter. This price includes enrolling students in the SGA LMS or SCORM files that can be loaded into your LMS.
** A CD version of the course is available to companies that have purchased a corporate license. This version is intended to be used for groups and be hosted by a facilitator. It contains the same modules as the online version, including narration. It also contains faciltator notes, student handouts, as well as written assessements and assessment keys.
