Basic Commercial and Industrial Gas Sales & Marketing Training Program

(April 29 - May 1, 2008 - Charlotte, NC)

This Training Course is sponsored by the SGA Commercial Marketing and Industrial Marketing Committees.  It has been designed to benefit anyone who markets to commercial and industrial customers - or both - and wants to learn more about natural gas applications and technology for these market sectors. It is held at the Piedmont Natural Gas Company Gas Cooking Technology Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. View the page for the November 2006 Course.

SGA Commercial and Industrial Marketing Conference

(July 9-11, 2008 - Savannah, GA)

This conference has been designed especially for commercial and industrial sales representatives, supervisors, managers, directors and vice presidents of marketing. The conference offers a unique opportunity for attendees to learn about new technologies, future trends and ways to increase market share and loads in the commercial and industrial market areas. This year the conference will be held at the same time as the SGA Residential Marketing Conference. By having these two conferences at the same time, the co-chairs have been able to plan several joint sessions for both conference groups.

Basic Gas Food Service Marketing Course

The SGA Commercial Marketing Committee and the Gas Foodservice Equipment Network (GFEN) co-sponsor this four-day course, which is held at Piedmont Natural Gas Company's Gas Cooking Technology Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The delivery of the course material is both classroom style and hands-on.

The course covers basic operations of foodservice equipment, including types of equipment on the market today and their uses. The overall objective for the participant is to gain knowledge of commercial foodservice equipment; air quality; and how design, industry trends and new technology all influence the buying decision. Participants are taught by both experienced gas company professionals as well as professionals from outside the industry. For more information or to request a sample agenda, contact Debbie Krawzik at dkrawzik@southerngas.org.

Commercial Foodservice Marketing Conference

The SGA Marketing Section sponsors this conference every two years in conjunction with the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) Meeting and Exhibition. SGA is pleased to have the Gas Foodservice Equipment Network (GFEN) as a co-sponsor of this year's meeting. If your company is a member of GFEN, you do not have to pay a non-member fee to attend this year's Commercial Foodservice Marketing Conference. NAFEM's goal is to bring attendees face to face with the most innovative products the industry has to offer, and we encourage you to schedule your marketing representatives' travel plans in order that they can tour the entire NAFEM Exhibit.

Southern Conference for Architects and Engineers
(October 10-12, 2008 - Bonita Springs (Naples), FL)

The Architects and Engineers Conference is sponsored every two years by the SGA Marketing Section to update architects and engineers regarding natural gas and natural gas equipment, which can be specified in new or existing commercial projects. SGA member companies and participating non-member companies host architects and engineers to this important industry conference. The conference officially starts on Friday evening with a cocktail buffet and concludes on Sunday at noon with a luncheon. General sessions and breakout sessions are scheduled on Saturday morning and Sunday morning. For information on how your company can participate by hosting delegates to the conference and to receive a sample conference program and schedule, contact Larry Farthing at lfarthing@southerngas.org.
