Handling the Media During Pipeline Emergencies

Program Over-View

"Handling the Media During Pipeline Emergencies" recreates an actual field emergency, in this case a third party's accidental puncture of a gas main in a residential area. The program includes a comprehensive participant's manual and illustrates and explains 28 typical mistakes in dealing with on-scene news media.

This program recognizes that crises are rare, and field employees usually do not have the skills necessary to effectively deal with a media interview. The training system is so logical and easy to apply that your employees will be able to put it to use months or even years later.

Most importantly, this program clearly explains and demonstrates a prove nine-point system for reducing the risks encountered during an interview.
